Knitting for Nets Toolkit
This toolkit contains material to replicate Alison Case’s anti-malaria campaign, which sold scarves knitted by her school’s knitting club and members of the surrounding community to raise money for bednets. Alison won the Social Innovators Award from Americans for Informed Democracy (AID) for her campaign.
Learn about Alison’s campaign at https://www.depauw.edu/news/index.asp?id=22158.
You can also watch a video about the campaign.
Something to keep in mind that Alison wrote is that “the community really ended up being the driving force behind the project”. Be sure to harness support from your community everywhere you can get it!
